Come and see the Eco-Frontiers Ranch!
The Eco-Frontiers Ranch is a unique private farm located in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains. Come and see our intimate and tranquil retreat that provides the perfect combination of relaxation, discovery, adventure, cultural insight, organic farm life, ecotourism and environmental responsibility. The natural beauty that surrounds you enables to escape, get positive energy, and unwind.
Here everything which is possible and viable is being done to care for environment. Established on abandoned, post communist agricultural land, the Eco-Frontiers Ranch, totally off-grid, tests best practices in model combining of traditional wooden architecture, modern technology to produce renewable energy, wastewater recycling, organic farming, protecting and maintaining local biodiversity and cultural heritage. Probably for the first time in your life you will see the ranch, which is powered by the renewable energy!
The hosts and founders of the Eco-Frontiers Ranch will guide you during the whole tour: Andrzej, biologist, carpenter and farmer, acknowledged beaver specialist; and Aga – environmental engineer, gardener, designer and stylist.
We present you three different options to visit the Eco-Frontiers Ranch, depending on your interests:
OPTION 1 – „Renewable Energy”:
- demonstration of the external systems of renewable energy production (wind turbines, photovoltaic panels, solar panels), explanation how they work and how to calculate the system based on the household energy demand;
- demonstration of the internal installations, visit to the power and heating rooms;
- demonstration of the unique wastewater recycling system (wastewater gardens®);
- demonstration of the rainwater collection system;
- duration: 1 hour, group up to 10 people, price 150 PLN + 22 % VAT (per group). Each next hour: 100 PLN + 22 % VAT.
Anybody, who inspired by the visit at the Ranch, will decide to buy the consulting services for the renewable energy at the Natekenergy ( http://www.natekenergy.biz/) or other solutions (for example the wastewater treatment plant “Wastewater Gardens” – http://www.oczyszczalnieogrodowe.pl/) will get discount of 150 PLN.
OPTION 2 – „The Ranch”:
- introduction to the unique combination of traditional Carpathian wooden architecture and modern, environmentally friendly solutions: history of the Ranch, technology of building, water and energy supply systems, wastewater treatment plant (wastewater gardens®);

- visit to the private nature reserve:
- beaver sites and everything about beavers: dams, cut trees, changes to the environment made by beaver activities, how and where beavers build dams, how to reintroduce beaver family.
- wetlands with wild orchids and other valuable and protected plant species, places visited by wild boars and deer, succession on the farmland, wildlife footprints, and many more.
- visit to the herd of the Hutsul horses;
- tasting of the Eco-Frontiers Ranch home made beverages;
- visit to the organic garden and orchard, introduction to the idea of the organic gardening and methods;
- duration: 2 hours, group up to 10 people, price 300 PLN + 22 % VAT.
OPTION 3 – „Evening at The Ranch”:
- The same program as in the option 2, additionally 2 hours of beaver watching at the beaver pond (if we are lucky we will see beavers).
- duration: 4 hours, price 500 PLN + 22% VAT. It is necessary to start the visit about 5 p.m.
Additional attractions to choose not included in the above options:
- delicious vegetarian meal (lunch or dinner) - 30 PLN per person
- presentation how the mobile sawmill works, the only chance to cut your own board by yourself, short lesson how to distinguish and use different wood species – 100 PLN + 22% VAT (per group)
- visit to the place where the crude oil was extracted in the 19. century, opportunity to see the original oil crane – 100 PLN + 22% VAT (per group)
- visit to the Eco-Frontiers Ranch private, unmanaged forest, where the nature is left for itself and you will see natural regeneration processes, combined with the short lesson how to recognize tree species – 100 PLN + 22% VAT (per group)
- horse care lesson – 1 hour - 100 PLN + 22% VAT (per group).
